I don't think there's any intent of formalized boundaries. vB has the "infraction" system built in, and I don't know of a way to turn it off. I didn't have any plans of using it for anything.

I know what we should do! We should edit the infractions so they're all positive, and hand them out like candy.

So there is really nothing a person could do to get banned then?

I think consensus has been that the pure commercial spammers will get banned, because they are not participants in the community.

We haven't had anything else come up that led to the community feeling that a ban would be an appropriate response. I suppose death threats or something.
