So, for those that know me, you already know that I have worked for a Therapeutic Foster Care agency for almost 2 years now.
I am completely burnt out. There are lots of reasons why. But, regardless.. I am looking for a new job... preferably one in a different field. I have a lead on a job with UAH (the local college) and I think I would really enjoy it.
So, this is my formal (or informal) request for prayer, happy thoughts, well wishes, meditations, etc. Whatever your brand of encouragement may be.
Thanks in advance!

You got 'em! I gotta say, teaching at a college sounds a WHOLE lot less stressful than working in Therapeutic Foster Care.

I agree. :) Though I won't be teaching, I will be the Coordinator of Testing (ACT, GRE, those kinds of tests).
I have proctored a few tests and have spoken at length with the Outgoing Director of testing and the Incoming Director. Based on what they have said, I think I will love the job!

We'll put in a word for you. If you can tell us the name of the person conducting the interview, we can even help by taking his/her family hostage! :)

So, after having a few rough days at work, I got a call from the HR department of the place that I interviewed with on Wednesday.
The HR department stated that they needed a bit more information. They want me to add an addendum to my resume to include my proctoring experiences. They wanted to make sure that they could contact my employer about a reference. They also wanted a copy of my official transcript--- which I conviently have a few copies of sealed transcripts.
They explained that I was being seriously considered for the position and the quicker I could get that information into them, the quicker they could make their decision. I told them I would have all their information completed today.
Yay for me! Continue with the happy thoughts please!

Shannon i sure hope that you get the job. :D
it sounds like they are prepared to hire you, and are just 'crossing the t's and dotting the i's" by making sure to document your experience, and enable them to assure others that you really are the best candidate for the job.
